Edit: The person running the club has written me to kindly work things out and has changed the rule that passed judgement on individual art pieces of the genere I was entering. I guess in the end trying hard to talk things out is the best way for everyone to better understand each other.
I left
because I found their new rules to be overly judgmental based on artist style and personal preference of the person running it. I guess that she has always run it but recently decided a rule change was in order. If anyone would like to see the conversation I will post it. I am not sensitive about my art, but I really dislike anyone who would potentially make new up and coming artists at any level feel bad about their art. I love viewing art at every level of every style which is why I am here on DA. <3
Apparently I misunderstood part of the rules about yaoi/slash art and they are currently accepting it. For that I apologize, but regardless that is not why I quit the group. I quit the group because I don't want to be part of any group where submissions are judged based on taste level/skill level. I don't want to feel like every time I see a new piece of artwork pop up the artist had to worry about whether or not it was good enough to be included. I want to be part of groups that encourage kinship and mutual love of their fandoms.
